A clean audit starts long before year-end.
An audit isn’t just a box to check for your bank, your board, or your funder. It’s an independent look at whether your numbers hold up, and whether the systems producing them do too.
Your financial statements tell people where your business stands. Assurance tells them they can rely on it.
At REACH, we scope the work properly, plan around your year-end, and raise issues while there’s still time to deal with them. You’ll know what the engagement costs before it starts and what we found before the report lands.
A free 15-minute discovery call is a simple place to start.

What sets us apart
Getting to know your business
We take time upfront to understand how your business runs and stay closely connected throughout the engagement.
No fee surprises
We scope every engagement thoroughly before we quote. If something changes the amount of work required, you hear about it when it happens, not on the final invoice.
Practical business insight
Our work goes beyond the opinion itself. We flag control gaps, process improvements, and opportunities we come across during the audit, and we tell you about them as we go rather than saving them for the management letter.
Depth of experience
Our team brings high-calibre, senior-level expertise to every engagement, with experience across a wide range of industries.
Audit and assurance questions, answered
What is the difference between an audit and a review engagement?
An audit provides the highest level of assurance available on financial statements. We perform procedures to obtain audit evidence on the amounts and disclosures in your statements, then express an independent opinion in accordance with Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS). A review engagement provides limited assurance: we express a conclusion based on inquiries of management and analytical procedures, in accordance with CSRE 2400.
Who needs audited or reviewed financial statements?
Common cases include not-for-profits and registered charities (under bylaws, funder agreements, or provincial legislation), owner-managed businesses whose bank or lender requires them, companies with outside investors or shareholders, and Ontario condo corporations, many of which need annual audited statements under the Condominium Act.
How does an audit engagement with REACH work?
We start with scoping, to understand your business and the type of engagement required. Then comes planning and risk assessment, fieldwork and evidence gathering, and a findings discussion with management before we issue the signed audit or review report.
How much does an audit cost?
It depends on the scope of the engagement. We scope every engagement thoroughly before we quote, so you know what it costs before it starts. If something changes the amount of work required, you hear about it when it happens, not on the final invoice.
